What we collect

We collect only what is needed to match donors with people who need blood.

• Your name, username and phone number, so a match can reach you
• Your email address, to identify your account and confirm requests you make about it
• Your blood group and your answers to the donor screening questions, to power matching
• Your approximate location, taken from your device and coarsened before it is stored, to find nearby matches
• Blood requests you raise or respond to. A request holds only the hospital, ward, blood type and units needed, and nothing about the patient
• Optional donation history, if you choose to record it
• Account credentials, to secure your profile

What we do not collect

• Advertising identifiers or tracking pixels — Khoon Ka Rishta carries no advertising
• Your precise location — we store only an approximate location
• Biometric or facial recognition data
• Any payment information — donation through the app is always free

How we use it

Your information is used solely to operate the app: matching donors and requesters, sending you a notification when a nearby request matches your blood type, and letting you manage your own profile. Nothing you share is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the service.

What we never do

• Sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party
• Show you advertising or sell advertising access to your profile
• Share your contact details with anyone other than a match you or they have agreed to connect with
• Use your data to train any AI or machine-learning model

Sharing your information

Your phone number is only revealed to the other side of a match once a donation request and a donor have both confirmed interest in connecting — never before, and never to anyone outside that specific match. We may disclose information if legally compelled to do so, and will notify you first unless prohibited by law.

When you accept a request, your donor pass (shown as a QR code) lets hospital staff see the request, the hospital and ward, your blood type and that you answered the health questions. It shows no name or contact details, and it stops working when the request ends or you withdraw.

Encryption & security

All data you share with Khoon Ka Rishta is encrypted in transit and at rest. Details are on our Security page.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data only while you have an account. When you delete your account, in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing privacy@tek2.pk, we permanently delete your profile, contact details, blood group, screening answers, location, donation history and the blood requests you raised. We do not keep any of it. Requests you responded to stay with the person who raised them, without your details. Copies held in our encrypted database backups expire within 35 days.

How to delete your account

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask for your account and data to be deleted, by emailing privacy@tek2.pk. We respond within 30 days and do not charge a fee for reasonable requests.

Age

Khoon Ka Rishta is for adults aged 18 and above, and donors must be between 18 and 65. An adult can raise a blood request for a child, but children cannot sign up, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact privacy@tek2.pk and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll publish the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know before it takes effect, for example by emailing the address on your account.
